I have known how to work the chucks since I was a teenager, and I love finding good nunchucks to be able to keep up with it. I prefer practicing with rubber chucks with rope because you don’t run as great a risk of knocking yourself out if you accidentally hit yourself in the head! When you think of “rubber” nunchucks you often think of cheap kids toys that are very bendable. Strike that image from your mind right now. These “rubber” chucks are a foam on the outside covering a composite plastic that is actually very hard if you hit yourself too hard. The build quality is excellent, the rope is also very good quality, and the handle length is 11″.My only complaint is that I like to spin my nunchucks while working them, so the rope is about 2″ too long. Normally the rope should go through the palm of your hand plus an additional inch so you can spin them and work your tricks. These are about 2″ too big for me, which means I will have to shorten the rope which is no easy task.I looked up a video on how to shorten rope nunchucks and found that you roll down the foam on one end that has a clip under it that you clip off, and tie. Then I used a zip tie after I readjusted the length of it, and then I pushed the foam back up over the composite plastic. Unfortunately one of the zip ties let go, so I may have to reconfigure on how to get the rope to work right for me.I still give it 5 stars because these nunchucks are very solidly built and work perfectly other than the rope being too long! I also love that there are two sets in this pack, which for me is a great value! I would recommend these.
